Books in Residence

Books in Residence is a programme of curated bookshelves and events. Presented by Ashley Saville alongside independent publishers, it encourages the cross-pollination of visual art and writing. MA BIBLIOTHÈQUE, a publishing project of the artist and writer Sharon Kivland, will launch the programme with a three-month residency at the gallery from October 2026. The residency will feature a micro-bookshop accompanied by a series of talks and readings led by affiliated writers.
Founded on reading/re-reading in London in 2013, MA BIBLIOTHÈQUE publishes works by international artists, writers, academics, and poets. Its catalogue rewards slow reading and interdisciplinary enquiry. The most recent publications are by Bridget Penney, Nick Norton, Gill Houghton, Sean Ashton. Adam Walker, Timothy Mathews, Erin Honeycutt, and Katharina Ludwig.
