In her mixed-media practice, Anna Curzon Price considers the porous boundary between people and their surroundings. Born in 1999 in London, she studied social anthropology at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge, before training in fine art at London’s Essential School of Painting and the Slade School of Art. Working across painting, printmaking, architectural intervention and performance, the artist exceeds the confines of traditional image-making. Materials are approached as experimental opportunities, and unexpected outcomes are welcome. Slipping between abstraction and figuration, Curzon Price’s work is sensual and affective. A research practice rooted in feminist ideology and Modernist theory informs her artistic process.
