Questions of vulnerability and strength pervade Anna Curzon Price’s artistic practice. Born in 1999 in London, she studied social anthropology at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge, before training as a fine artist at London’s Essential School of Painting and the Slade School of Art. Working across painting, printmaking, architectural intervention, and performance, the artist exceeds the confines of traditional image-making. Materials are approached as experimental opportunities, and unexpected outcomes are welcome. Slipping between abstraction and figuration, Curzon Price creates a visual language of expressive delicacy. This is sensual, affective work, grounded in social critique and feminist ideology.
